The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is perhaps Genta’s most memorable work, and in many ways changed the shape of the watch industry.
The Royal Oak essentially created an entirely new category of 'luxury sport' timepieces, and with it came a new design language which inspired countless other manufactures. What's particularly delightful about the design of the Royal Oak is that it works brilliantly in a number of sizes and casing materials, from steel to carbon fiber or rose gold.
In 1993, the Royal Oak line expanded to include the Offshore Chronograph, which drove the bulk of sales for AP in the past few decades. But the smaller non-Offshore models, simply known as Royal Oak Chronograph are somewhat overlooked.
This particular model, reference 25860ST, features a 39mm stainless steel construction, a deep navy blue Grand Tappisserie dial with applied luminous baton indices with a matching handset, and the Audemars Piguet Calibre 2835 automatic movement
This is a tremendous opportunity to pick up a complicated and, dare we say, perfectly proportioned Royal Oak a fraction of a time-only Jumbo!
Try it on the wrist once, and you'll have a tough time taking it off - don't say we didn't warn you!
